Instead of planning my life around my workouts, I've been planning my life and trying to squeeze the work outs in. This has not gone well for me. It all started in January when I didn't run the Resolution Run. Now, I can't run the Frozen Heart 17K like I hoped because I have made plans with my family. Well, truthfully, my son is in a state robotic competition so that takes priority, as it should be. I'm trying to resist the urge to hyper schedule my spring but I really want to meet my goal of 16 halfs in 16. Last year, I ran 8 halfs and my time just started to go down with the last few. Now, due to lack of training on my part, I think I am back to square one. I really want to break my PR before we head back permanently to the great white north.
I am actively seeking out Sunday races and trying to clean my schedule for weekends when our club has grand prix races scheduled.
If it was up to you, what mid-Atlantic halves would you run in 2016? Bonus points if they are Sunday races!
