Welcome
A little about myself I have wound a very nontraditional path through life. Getting married young in college and then finishing college while moving every 6-12 months while my husband finished training for his career in military aviation, then continuing to attempt to develop a career while continuing to move every 2-3 years. I also dabbled in many side careers and odd jobs including a photography business. I am always looking for new experiences and opportunities to learn more so that I can bring those gifts back to the classroom. This summer, I decided to start blogging about those experiences as well and to use this blog as a starting point to share some of the unique experiences. I started a blog years ago to share our initial experiences in Alaska. If you would like to go retroactive or see another perspective on our Alaska life see http://jolenemcdowell.blogspot.com
I started running when I was in high school, more to get in shape than anything else. As I became an adult and experienced the yo yo life of cross country moves, children, and stress my runs have involved to peaceful opportunities to clear my mind. As an introvert the loudness of my day is really draining. I often come home grumpy and depleted of energy. A quiet walk or run in the woods brings me back from the brink of meltdown and gives me the ability to face the rest of the day's challenges... I'd love to share my experience with you and hear all about yours. No matter your current mental or physical state. Today is your day to get started on the path to wellness. Come join me! All it takes is a step... |
